WWE News: Possible location for WrestleMania 34

WrestleMania is the biggest event of the year in WWE

WrestleMania is the grandest event in the WWE calendar year. The hype surrounding the event is always sky high, and speculations and rumours of the event and its matches run rampant.

While WrestleMania 33 will broadcast live from Orlando, Florida's Camping World Stadium on April 2nd, 2017, WWE have already started planning for WrestleMania 34.

If the latest reports from Wrestling Observer's, Dave Meltzer, are to be believed, WWE has short-listed their options down to four choices. Out of these four, three haven’t been revealed. But the front runner seems to be Minneapolis and is under heavy consideration for hosting the biggest event of the year.

In fact, WrestleMania 33 was originally supposed to take place in Minnesota – Brock Lesnar’s hometown, but these plans were later swapped, with Orlando taking away the honour of hosting WrestleMania 33.

Minneapolis, Minnesota, hasn’t held a pay per view since Elimination Chamber, all the way back in 2014. Moreover, the state of Minnesota has never had the privilege of hosting a WrestleMania in the past.

If the plans to hold WrestleMania 34 in Minnesota do materialise, then it would only be WWE’s fifth pay per view in Minneapolis. In all the other four occasions, the Target Center, with a 20,500 seating capacity, hosted the events.

However, with the grandeur that is WrestleMania, WWE would be looking to swap the Target Center for a bigger venue. There are a couple of major stadiums in the Minneapolis area, and it's highly likely that WWE would look to host WrestleMania 34, at the newly opened US Bank Stadium.

The US Bank Stadium is home to the NFL's Minnesota Vikings. The state of the art stadium was opened in July 2016 and can accommodate up to 70,000 fans.

WrestleMania 34 is still a while away, and it is still too early to comment on which venue will be zeroed in. But given the showman, Vince McMahon is, it is certain that he will look for the best ambience for the 'Grand Daddy of them All'.

We all remember the fiasco that was WrestleMania IX and Vince will look to not repeat those mistakes again.
