What's the story?

There has been a lot of speculation regarding Dean Ambrose's departure from WWE. Some believe it is a work, and others believe he's really on his way out.

Tazz, who was an announcer on WWE for the longest time, revealed why he thinks it's real. I'd like to thank Michael McClead of WrestleZone for the following transcript.

In case you didn't know...

Rumours emerged about Dean Ambrose's departure a little over a week ago much to the surprise of the WWE Universe. Ambrose is, of course, one of WWE's top guys right now.

Ambrose has been booked in embarrassing situations since then. He told Nia Jax recently that he knows that she has a crush on him, despite the fact that his wife Renee Young was seated at commentary.

Ambrose also went on to lose to EC3 in the NXT superstar's RAW debut.

The heart of the matter

These are just two of the things that made Tazz believe that his departure is not a storyline. Tazz said the following:

They did a couple things that, to me, seems more and more a shoot, more real, that he’s gonna be gone-ski when his contract’s up. They didn’t advertise him for RAW and he did do a straight job, which is not the end of the world, but to EC3.

Why is losing to EC3 such a big deal? Tazz elaborated:

He’s a guy that is not sure if he’s gonna be on SmackDown or RAW. That’s where they’re going with his character. EC3 is on the come up, as far as the WWE main roster – not his success in TNA, or in NXT. He’s on the come up right now, as we all can agree where he is set to be on RAW or SmackDown, and he’s on the build.

What's next?

The coming months will reveal if Ambrose's departure is a work or not. We can probably judge this by the way his character is treated. Let's hope that whatever Ambrose does, he finds success in it.
