WWE News: Randy Orton takes shot at Kevin Owens' weight

Randy Orton once referred to Kevin Owens as "The fat guy who got over"

What's the story?

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens seem to be going at it on SmackDown Live. Although Survivor Series might be the big event on the horizon Randy Orton and Kevin Owens seem destined to lock horns and their feud is heating up.

What will really make matters a little more serious is if Randy Orton keeps throwing little jabs at Kevin Owens like this.

In case you didn't know...

Kevin Owens has always been a unique performer capable of surprising fans all over. He's extremely agile for someone his size and has never let his physique get in the way of his amazing wrestling ability.

On the other hand, Randy Orton's chiselled form has become famous because he's always been a specimen who looks ready to compete in the ring. He recently commented on E&C's Pod Of Awesomeness how he would like to be able to pack on a few pounds because the older he gets the harder he finds it is to maintain the look he's kept for so many years.

The heart of the matter

Randy Orton recently sent out an Instagram message featuring a delicious looking breakfast from McDonald's. The Viper promptly told everyone not to judge him because he needs to calories. He went on to say that he's facing Kevin Owens, therefore it is implied he could use as much weight as he can get at this juncture. It was a clever little burn on Orton's part but it probably won't help him defeat The Prizefighter any easier.

What's next?

Kevin Owens and Randy Orton might be set to have a nice program leading toward the Royal Rumble. If these two can stretch their feud a little longer it wouldn't be the worst thing.

After all, there are much worse people for Kevin Owens to be tangling with other than someone like Orton.

Author's take

It's really not a worthwhile cheap shot to comment on Kevin Owens' weight at this point. He's made a career proving his doubters wrong. But it was still a pretty humorous comment from Randy Orton.
