THE HANNIBAL TV, the official YouTube channel for Great North Wrestling uploaded a rarely seen match from 2008 where Jinder Mahal and Gamma Singh faced Hannibal and Samoa Joe in tag team action. The match took place at the Calgary Stampede Event center on 7.05.08 and it was only recently added to the GNW archive on Hannibal TV.
Jinder Mahal is currently the WWE Champion and one of the biggest names on SmackDown while Samoa Joe recently fought Brock Lesnar in a Fatal Four-Way Match the WWE Universal Title. The video serves as a great throwback to the two top WWE stars in their early days.
Jinder was signed by the then active WWE developmental Florida Championship Wrestling in 2010 before he was moved tthe newly rebranded developmental that we know now as NXT. He was released soon in 2014, however, when he spent a lot of time on the indie circuit before he returned in 2016 to WWE and teamed up with Rusev with his meteoric rise to WWE Champion taking place in 2017.
Samoa Joe left the Indies behind in 2015 to join NXT where he became the NXT Champion by defeating Finn Balor at an NXT Live Event in 2016. He came to RAW in 2017 and has been one of the top Superstars on the brand.
Regardless of the current status of the two stars, the GNW match is a must watch.
