WWE News: Released WWE Superstar booked against former WWE champion

Cody Rhodes is geared up for his next battle after WWE release

The WWE superstars in the past have complained about poor booking by WWE. The likes of Batista have complained about the creativity of the WWE team and have thus left the company. One such wrestler is Cody Rhodes who had asked for his release from the WWE and it was granted without any reluctance. He isn’t the only one who is released but Wade Berrett has also made his way out from the company.

Both the superstars have been victims of poor booking by the WWE. Embracing the freedom of being released, Rhodes has put out a list of names with whom he would want to work. It is interesting to see that Kurt Angle was mentioned in Rhodes’ list.

And soon enough, a match was booked between the two and the duo will face each other for the first time at New Wrestlers Under The Stars. The match will take place on 27th August at Dutchess Stadium in New York according to wrestlinginc.com.

Kurt Angle currently has been wrestling for independent promotions and a match with Cody Rhodes would benefit the latter on regaining legitimate wrestling reputation. This would also be a promising restart for Rhodes to climb back to the top of the wrestling scene outside of the WWE.
