What's the story?
Renee Young has become a consistent presence in WWE over the past few years as the host of all of WWE pre-shows and it has become well-known to the WWE Universe as well that Young is married to former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose. Renee has recently been able to open up about her life with Ambrose and how she first landed the job in WWE.
In case you didn't know...
Renee Young has worked as a backstage interviewer, commentator, and member of the broadcast team throughout her time with WWE where she has proved that she is a valuable member of the WWE roster.
Young started dating Dean Ambrose back in 2013 and the WWE Universe greeted the union with a lot of negativity, something that affected their relationship at the beginning. The couple then announced that they had married in secret in the back garden of their home in Las Vegas in April 2017.
Renee was able to be part of the feud between her husband and The Miz back in 2017 but Ambrose suffered a bicep injury at the end of the year and could now be out of action until the summer.
The heart of the matter

“The very first thing I did when I came to WWE was a vintage collection with Gene Okerland and it would air after that, it was my one time in WWE with my real name. I got brought in for WWE and was wrapping up my time with The Score and I wanted to do things in the States. That was on a Monday and by Friday WWE wanted to fly me down for an audition. I had a really bad audition, it wasn’t awful but I didn’t think I would get it."
Renee did end up getting the job and has now become the most prominent female on the broadcast team over the past few years.
“I was so stressed out, I thought I would check it out and they made me do commentary and it’s a very stressful thing and I did my audition with Matt Striker and I just did color. I was totally a fish out of water but then they handed me a battery and they were like sell this to me. I did an after show thing and that’s where my skills began to shine.”
Renee also discussed her relationship with Dean Ambrose where she talked about how Ambrose likes his own space and just going out in the mountains on his bicycle. She also talked about how Ambrose basically portrays himself in the ring and looks at the wrestling world in an entirely different way to her because she sees it from a journalist's point of view and he sees it as a wrestler.
What's next?
Renee Young is an integral part of the broadcast team on Raw and SmackDown right now as well as the host of the pre-shows in the WWE Network. This means that Renee will be part of the upcoming shows but her husband isn't thought to be returning to the company for a number of months due to injury.

It seems as though WWE really threw Renee in at the deep end when it comes to her audition, but she adapted and has become one of the best broadcasters in WWE. Renee is someone that WWE now often relies on and she is always one of the most professional announcers on the show.
Renee has had her own fair share of issues with the WWE Universe over the past few years and it seems that she's managed to overcome all of this and remained in a prominent position on WWE TV.
