What's the story?
In case you didn't notice, it's Halloween. That means everyone in the wrestling world gets to dress up in costumes with the WWE Superstars certainly being no different. We've already seen the NXT stars compete in a fancy dress battle royale and now three top stars are competing in a fancy dress contest.
In case you didn't know...
At an NXT house how in Sanford several NXT Superstars competed in an epic costume battle royale. We had Shayna Baszler dressed up as Darth Vader having a lightsaber battle with Ruby Riot dressed as Where's Wally and Nikki Cross doing a spot-on No Way Jose send-up. Here's a photo of the hilarious participants.
The heart of the matter
It's not just the developmental yellow brand joining in with the spirit of Halloween, however, as WWE live-streamed the following costume contest between The Miz, Drew Gulak and Sasha Banks, hosted by Little Red Renee Hood.
I don't think there's anything greater in the world than Sasha Banks dressed up as both members of 'The Bar'. Maybe Seth Rollins was right when he said Banks is the best wrestler in the world.
What's next?
The video is a lot of fun but it remains to be seen if any of the wacky Halloween antics will make their way onto WWE's actual programming. Although I doubt we'll see Drew Gulak dressed as Sasha Banks on 205 LIVE, after all dressing up is against one of the rules on his powerpoint presentations.
Author's take
WWE programming on Monday Night RAW has been very serious as of late, so it's nice to see some of its stars lightening up a bit outside of the squared circle. Halloween isn't my favourite holiday in the world, but even I can't fail to enjoy hilarious videos like this.
