WWE News: After much dispute, Rey Mysterio returns to former promotion

Rey Mysterio, the Mexican high flyer, affectionateyl called the Biggest Little Man, will be going back to AAA. Mostly known for his stint in WWE from 2002 to February 2015, Mysterio has also wrestled for other wrestling promotions including World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), Lucha Underground and Asistencia Asesoria Administraction (AAA).

Rey Mysterio started his wrestling career from AAA in 1992 and worked for the company till 1995, before leaving for ECW. After his contract with WWE came to an end in early 2015, Mysterio decided to re-sign with AAA.

After rejoining the company, Rey wrestled at AAA’s biggest event, TripleMania XXIII against Myzteziz ( original Sin Cara ). A year later in February 2016, Rey left the company over having financial disputes.

Returning to Lucha Underground, Mysterio competed in the 2nd ever Aztec Warfare match for Lucha Underground Championship, ultimately losing to Matanza. Cagesideseats.com has reported that Rey is rumored to be back in AAA soon. This time, he will have a more lucarative contract and will wrestle only limited dates for the company, much like Brock Lesnar.
