It doesn't look good for Rey Mysterio fans

What's the story?

There has been much speculation about Rey Mysterio's role at WrestleMania 34. Unfortunately, from the looks of it, he won't be a part of the proceedings.

Mysterio was a part of BELOW THE BELT, where he spoke about a variety of topics. He was asked about making a WrestleMania appearance, and we bring you his response via NoDQ.

In case you didn't know...

As Mysterio revealed during the course of the interview, he is one of those Superstars that is always asked about making a big WWE comeback. His big special moment came during the Royal Rumble, where he shocked the world by making a huge comeback.

Mysterio has expressed his desire to return to the ring and make an impression with the current crop of talented superstars. He's been vocal about wanting to face Finn Balor and AJ Styles in present-day WWE. Fans have echoed these sentiments too!

The heart of the matter

Rey Mysterio expressed how thrilled he was to be a part of the Royal Rumble. He was then asked if he would be a part of WrestleMania 34:

Unfortunately, I just suffered a torn bicep three weeks ago. Opted not to get surgery. It’s a full tear but I’m just gonna kick back, do some therapy for it and hopefully I’ll be ready next month.

While Mysterio made it seem like he wouldn't be a part of WrestleMania, he made it certain that it won't take long for him to heal and make a comeback. He also did not rule out the possibility of a return!

What's next?

WrestleMania will happen, with or without Mysterio. We're certain that he'll be sitting back and watching all the action. Maybe next year, we could have the Styles vs. Mysterio dream match at WrestleMania 35.

Author's take

The card is already way too stacked. Even a megastar like Mysterio would have been lost in the shuffle this year.

He will certainly make a bigger splash by returning when he is back at full health.
