What's the story?

Ronda Rousey is in the process of launching a new website, and the former MMA fighter released a trailer for it today. In the trailer are several clips of Rousey's wrestling training, with WWE Superstar Natalya.

In case you didn't know...

Ever since she appeared alongside the Rock at Wrestlemania 31 to teach The Authority a lesson, Ronda Rousey has been the subject of intense speculation regarding a career within the WWE.

That's now beginning to look like a distinct possibility as the WWE appears to be gearing up for a 'Four Horsewomen' of MMA vs 'Four Horsewomen' of WWE match at some point in the future, with the former female MMA champion actually training in the WWE Performance Centre.

The heart of the matter

Rousey is teasing 'major news' with many expecting it to be the announcement that she's signed a deal to become a WWE Superstar, and will be joining the women's division ranks. This has been all but guaranteed recently with Rousey making several appearances during the Mae Young Classic tournament and actively calling out the 'Four Horsewomen' of the WWE.

What's next?

It's unclear when the WWE will pull the trigger on Ronda, but we seem to be getting closer as the WWE has recently moved fellow MMA Horsewomen Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke to the performance centre for training. Shayna Bazler has already signed a WWE deal, after having been the runner up in the Mae Young Classic.

These four women are likely going to do battle with the women behind the WWE's 'Women's Revolution' Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley and Sasha Banks, with the match rumoured to be taking place at WrestleMania 3.

Author's take

I'm going to be honest here, perhaps a little too honest, but I'm really not sure how excited I am for this programme to happen. I imagine I'll change my mind once Rousey and company do show up, but until then my levels of hype are fairly low.
