WWE News: Ric Flair calls out Ronda Rousey on behalf of his daughter

Has Ric bitten off a little more than he can chew
Has the Nature Boy bitten off a little more than what he can chew?

What's the story?

It seems that Ronda Rousey's upcoming appearance at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view means that she has chosen to work on the Monday Night Raw brand moving forward and could set up a match with a number of women for WrestleMania. Ric Flair seems to think that Ronda needs to face SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte in the future.

In case you didn't know...

Ronda was rumoured to be taking on Charlotte at WrestleMania ever since she made her debut at The Royal Rumble last month and since the SmackDown Women's Champion has already made a dig at Ronda on Twitter.

It is well known that a match between the two women has been discussed and even though Ronda is now on the Raw brand, speculation suggests that WWE will return to their dual brand format in the future so that means that the women could have a chance to square off in the future even if their impending match doesn't actually happen at WrestleMania.

The heart of the matter

Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan recently took part in a Q&A session where The Nature Boy seemingly called out Ronda Rousey on behalf of his daughter.

Flair talks about Ronda in the video and how much of a nice person she is. He then states that everyone wants to see The Queen versus Ronda in the future referring to his daughter Charlotte. When the interviewer tells Ric that he doesn't think Ronda's ready for that just yet, he responds with "that's what I told her."

It is also worth noting that when Charlotte was asked about a potential match with Ronda she responded with: “She knows where to find me.”

What's next?

It was announced on Monday Night Raw last night that Ronda Rousey will be part of Elimination Chamber PPV next weekend, but Charlotte won't be part of the Raw-exclusive event, instead, she will have to wait until SmackDown's event Fastlane in March to defend her SmackDown Women's Championship.

Author's take

Charlotte Flair has been the history maker ever since she made her debut on the main roster back in 2015. She has been billed as one of the biggest and best women's wrestlers of the current era so Ronda Rousey would definitely be someone that Charlotte would have in her sights.
