WWE News: Rich Swann makes his return to CZW
What’s the story?
During the very recent Combat Zone Wrestling show, former WWE superstar Rich Swann pulled-off a huge surprise when he made a shocking return to CZW and the Independent circuit in overall.
In case you didn’t know…
After being fired from the WWE in February of 2018, Rich Swann took to social media in order to confirm his retirement from Professional Wrestling, as he noted that he was set to hang up his boots from the business after completing his Independent bookings with the likes of House of Hardcore and The Crash Lucha Libre.
The heart of the matter
After announcing his initial retirement from Pro Wrestling last month, Rich Swann has now seemingly decided to make a comeback as he made a surprise return to his former promotion CZW, for the first time since 2013.
Upon his return to CZW, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion received a very warm reception from the crowd in attendance who also greeted Swann with “welcome back” chants and in addition, Swann also went on to announce his participation in CZW’s Best Of The Best tournament.
Shortly afterward, CZW Wrestling would also confirm Swann’s inclusion in the BOTB17, via their official Twitter handle when they tweeted out the following:
Following his return to CZW, it can now be assured that Rich Swann will definitely stick to the Pro Wrestling industry for a while now and it is also likely that we will now have the opportunity to witness the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion compete for other top Indy promotions around the globe.
Rich Swann is certainly one of the most talented in-ring competitors in today’s Pro Wrestling world and seeing him retire from the business at the age of 27 was definitely a big letdown. Personally, I’m really happy and overwhelmed that Swann has decided to stick around for the time being.
