What's the story?

The roster of returning WWE and WWE personalities is growing by the day with one more name getting added to the list on Thursday afternoon. Ring announcer Lillian Garcia announced on Twitter that she will be a part of Raw 25 on January 22nd.

Take a look at her tweet below:

In case you didn't know...

Garcia is an accomplished singer. She began taking part in contests at the age of five. Between 2007 and 2012 she released three full-length studio albums. For most of her career in the WWE, she would sing the Star Spangled Banner and/or America The Beautiful.

She started working with the WWE in August of 1999 as a ring announcer till 2009. She would return in 2011 before retiring in August of 2016 to take care of her ailing father.

The heart of the matter...

As she mentioned in her tweet, Garcia took part in 581 of the now 1286 episodes of Monday Night Raw. She has been a part of the WWE since the Attitude Era and ending her full-time duties nearly a year and a half back.

She still makes sporadic appearances for the WWE. Her last appearance was when she announced at the finals of the Mae Young Classic between Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler.

Garcia joins several former WWE Superstars and personalities of the past on Monday's show including Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Trish Stratus, Kelly Kelly, and Eric Bischoff.

What's next?

The wait is almost over as Raw 25 is just a few days away. It takes place on January 22nd in New York City emanating from the Manhattan Center for roughly an hour of the show with the Barclays Center hosting the rest.

Author's take

It would be great to watch one of the most iconic ring announcers in WWE history return to introduce a match or two. The entire night is going to be full of fun and nostalgia. I just wish Monday night was here already.
