In case you didn't know…

The WWE is set to put on one of the 2018 calendar year’s biggest events in Saudi Arabia tonight, as WWE's Greatest Royal Rumble takes place in Jeddah.

The lead-up to the event has already witnessed several WWE Superstars visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and meet citizens of the vast, beautiful country.

The heart of the matter

Roman Reigns spoke about WWE supporting progress and promoting equality in Saudi Arabia, stating:

"We are trying to show Saudi Arabia to the world, that's a big thing. We trying to be there for progress, to get better as human beings, to promote equality. Anything you can do on that level, it's greater than you can do in the ring."

Furthermore, Titus discussed WWE's ability to break down barriers, while making the best out of every situation the company finds itself in and promoting unity doing so.

He sa

"Our job is to put smiles on people's faces and those are all colours, all religions and backgrounds. This is the first time we are here, it's the first time a Royal Rumble has had 50 men in the ring, the first time that every single match is a championship match."

"Sports definitely unifies people and WWE have been doing it for years, bringing people from all different backgrounds into arenas and in-front of televisions at home."

O'Neil continued, saying the very fact that tickets for this event were sold out in a very short space of time highlights WWE's fan-base in Saudi Arabia is just as strong as it is anywhere else in the world.

What's next?

The WWE's Greatest Royal Rumble PPV takes place at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia tonight (April 27th, 2018).

Author's take

Truth be told - both Roman Reigns and Titus O'Neil are spot-on with their analysis of how the WWE has been contributing to a noble cause of bringing together all of society. Here's to hoping the company continue to break barriers and unite people the world over.
