What's the story?

Although he is currently out of action for health reasons, Roman Reigns is still on the minds of wrestling fans on a daily basis.

RingsideNews.com recently ran a piece from Wrestling News where Wrestling News spoke with Braun Strowman. The report mentions that Strowman said Reigns deals with his leukemia treatments daily and that things are going well for him.

In case you didn't know...

Reigns relinquished his Universal Championship on October 22 and has been absent from the WWE ever since in order to deal with his Leukemia.

Strowman might have been a constant foe of Reigns on-screen, but the two are great friends behind the scenes.

The heart of the matter

Since Reigns and Strowman are friends off screen, it appears the two have been keeping in contact since Reigns departure from WWE in October of last year.

Wrestling News caught up with Strowman recently and asked him about his sometimes foe but a man who is always his friend.

“I have [spoken to Roman] he’s doing really well. I think he’s in Hawaii still vacationing and seeing some of his family. So everything is going good with him.”

Strowman also mentioned that while everyone may be rooting for Reigns to make a comeback sooner rather than later, the former Universal Champ is taking things slowly.

“Naw, it’s just a day by day thing. I know he’s still doing his treatments at home. So when I speak to him he sounds well he says he feels well so I trust him and everything he’s ever told me.”

The report also mentioned that since Reigns is taking things one day at a time, a return to the WWE isn't set in stone at the moment. Chris Jericho also said Reigns was doing goods when he revealed that they talk through group texts.

What's next?

Strowman and Reigns have often been opponents in the ring but remain close outside of it.

One takeaway from this news is that although a lot of people in today's society want things to happen at their whim, things are often out of our control and usually require time to completely heal.

A disease like Leukemia cannot simply be cured overnight and it often takes a lot of arduous treatment. As someone who has dealt with serious health issues in the past, taking things a day at a time is often the only course you can take.

While not seeing the man physically on Raw in order to update us might be hard, his friends and family know him the best and are confident he is doing well.

Good luck to Roman Reigns in his recovery and also to anyone out there who may be dealing with a serious ailment or health issue. Stay strong!!!
