WWE News: Roman Reigns reveals why his feud with Braun Strowman was special
What’s the story?
Roman Reigns spoke to Inside The Ropes, revealing a couple of key factors which served to make his feud with Braun Strowman legendary.
Reigns stated that it was the combination of Strowman’s physical attributes and the former’s experience, in addition to both men aspiring to be the best, which made their program considerably intriguing and special.
In case you didn’t know…
Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman are presently the WWE’s biggest young Superstars and occupy the top slot on its RAW brand.
The duo has been previously engaged in several on-and-off programs with one another on RAW, over the course of the past year.
The heart of the matter
Roman Reigns explained why his rivalry with the Monster Among Men successfully captivated the attention of fans worldwide, asserting that the latter is constantly learning backstage. Here are a few excerpts from his statements:
“I think it’s two things (reasons), you know; I think Strowman is a certified star (and) I think when you see him, you know what’s going on…You can’t teach a guy to be damn near-7 feet tall and 400 pounds—It’s either genetics or work ethic.”
“And I think with the physical attributes that Strowman has along with my experience and my reactions the thing was a perfect storm…He’s a smart guy, I mean as dumb as he looks (*Reigns and interviewer share a laugh*), he’s not a dummy, you know.”
Furthermore, the Big Dog emphasized that much like him, Strowman has the innate drive to succeed and be the best.
Roman Reigns teams up with his Shield brethren (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) to compete against The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus and possibly Braun Strowman in a TLC match at the Tables Ladders & Chairs PPV on October 22nd.
Mark my words — Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman are the future of this business.
These behemoths have all the makings of stars and the WWE is right to book them in varied versions of feuds that have them working with one another.
