WWE News: Roman Reigns sends an emotional backstage message to fans after RAW return (Video)

What's the story?

Roman Reigns made his much-awaited return to RAW earlier today. The former WWE Universal Champion got a raucous reception from the WWE fans in Atalanta, GA. Roman Reigns informed fans that he was doing a lot better and his leukemia was finally in remission.

Although Roman Reigns didn't announce a definite return date, it's clear that he will be back soon.

In case you didn't know...

In late October 2018, Roman Reigns announced that he would be forced to leave the WWE and that he would be relinquishing the WWE Universal Championship. This happened just ahead of WWE Crown Jewel.

At Crown Jewel, Braun Strowman faced Brock Lesnar for the vacant WWE Universal Championship. After help from then acting RAW GM Baron Corbin, Brock Lesnar left with the title around his waist.

The heart of the matter

After his return to WWE, Roman Reigns posted a video message for fans on Twitter. Reigns thanked everyone for their support and informed fans that he was back for good. Reigns admitted that he was nervous and the cheers from the fans in the arena overwhelmed him.

What's next?

We don't yet know when Roman Reigns is set to return to the ring. We know he's been cleared and is back in training. The question now is regarding whether Reigns wrestles at WrestleMania later this year or if WWE holds him off for post-WrestleMania.

At this point, we can only wait for further updates from WWE regarding when we can see Reigns back in a WWE ring.
