What's the story?

PWInsider is reporting on a recent announcement from the WWE regarding their recently added show in Abu Dhabi coming up on December 8th. The show's main event will be Roman Reigns taking on Triple H.

In case you didn't know...

On April 3, 2016, Roman Reigns and Triple H headlined WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas. The match was for the WWE Championship and lasted over 27 minutes with Roman Reigns coming out victorious.

The heart of the matter...

The WWE added this show in Abu Dhabi to replace the cancelled show in India on the same date. The original plan was to run two shows running in India during the tour, but the WWE decided to make one Supershow on December 9th in New Delhi.

In addition to the main event, there will be a first-time ever steel cage match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships when Cesaro and Sheamus take on Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor, Kane, and Samoa Joe are also scheduled to appear on the tour.

What's next?

Survivor Series will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas this Sunday. The main event of the show will be a traditional 5-on-5 elimination match with Team Raw's captain Kurt Angle leading his team of Triple H, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman against Team Smackdown's captain Shane McMahon leading the team of John Cena, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, and Randy Orton.

Author's take...

This will be a treat for the fans of Abu Dhabi considering that outside of Survivor Series, the chance to see Triple H in the ring was strictly on house shows during the European Tour over the past year.

I have a good feeling that the return to the ring for Triple H is building to a WrestleMania match with Kurt Angle, and I hope that happens.
