Ronda Rousey appears on tickets for SummerSlam

What's the story?

After confirmation earlier in the week that Ronda Rousey will sign her WWE Raw contract at Elimination Chamber, it seems like WWE is ramping up the hype for the former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion with her now appearing on the tickets for SummerSlam alongside several other Superstars.

SummerSlam will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on August 19th, and it looks like WWE have confirmed Rousey's appearance already with her image being used prominently on the tickets.

In case you didn't know...

Kurt Angle revealed on RAW this week that Ronda Rousey's next WWE appearance will come on February 25th at Elimination Chamber where the former UFC star will sign her official WWE contract ahead of debuting on the red brand.

The heart of the matter

Well, Arash Markazi took to Twitter today to give a first look at WWE's lenticular tickets for WWE SummerSlam -- and "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey features prominently on the ticket, as you can see below.

Ronda Rousey has already been confirmed as a RAW Superstar, effective from Elimination Chamber. There has been speculation recently that WWE may return to dual-branded pay-per-views, but SummerSlam is one that will definitely feature both RAW and SmackDown Superstars - so it'll be interesting to see how things will play out in the lead up to both WrestleMania and SummerSlam!

What's next?

Ronda Rousey's next appearance is at the Elimination Chamber, but it's believed that her first match in a WWE ring will be at WrestleMania.

With talk of Rousey being signed to a full-time multi-year deal, though, and saying WWE is her priority, you can expect to see "Rowdy" on RAW before Mania, and it looks like WWE is already planning for the rest of the year with Rousey in their ranks.

Author's take

Well, it's no surprise that WWE are capitalising on Ronda Rousey's mainstream success already, and it's pretty cool to see her on the tickets.

I mean, the tickets look incredible in their own right, but Rousey being there adds more "wow" factor. I can't wait to see her on WWE television again!
