WWE News: Ronda Rousey signs WWE contract, puts Triple H through a table

Stephanie McMahon channels the entire WWE Universe during Ronda Rousey's signing

What's the story?

It was the segment everyone was waiting for, and it did not disappoint.

Ronda Rousey is officially a WWE Superstar, and some of the details around her signing and WrestleMania appearance have come to light too. But, in traditional WWE style, the signing did not go off without a hitch, as Triple H went through a table!

In case you didn't know...

Ronda Rousey's first WWE appearance was at WrestleMania 31 where she attacked both Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

Well, it seemed like the hatchet had been buried at the Royal Rumble when Rousey and Stephanie closed the show with a handshake.

The heart of the matter

Kurt Angle appeared to introduce Ronda Rousey to WWE, alongside a returning Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Now, any WWE fan could see from a mile off that this wouldn't be Rousey signing a contract and leaving quietly, but nobody could have predicted what would happen next.

It was confirmed at the beginning of the segment that Ronda Rousey will compete at WrestleMania, but not in a Championship match.

Kurt Angle was walked out of the ring and up the ramp by Triple H after some choice words were said, with Triple H claiming Angle was unwell. Well, Kurt Angle may not do that great if Triple H gets his hands on him now, as the RAW General Manager claimed that Stephanie called "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey a has-been and that even she could take the former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion.

It looked like Stephanie was about to feel the wrath of Rousey again, before The Game played mediator and got Stephanie out of trouble. But he walked right into it himself.

In a shocking moment, Rousey put Triple H through a table and with that, she signed her contract and dropped it on Triple H before walking off. Ronda Rousey is a WWE Superstar!

What's next?

WWE Raw takes place tomorrow, and there's a very good chance we'll see Ronda Rousey as it's been confirmed that she is a "full-time" WWE Superstar signed to the Raw brand.

With Rousey's WrestleMania match being confirmed, and being a non-title bout, it looks like the much rumoured mixed tag team match is set against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Will we find out more tomorrow?

Author's take

Well, this segment got off to a bit of a slow start and took a bumpy road with Rousey getting emotional and Kurt Angle fluffing a few lines - but, man, it sure made up for it in the end!

I did not expect Triple H to be slammed through a table by Rousey, and I can't wait to find out what happens tomorrow. Does Kurt Angle keep his job after his comments tonight? Does Angle himself team with Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie? Or will it be someone completely different.

One thing is for sure, tomorrow's Raw is a must-see now!
