What’s the story?

Legendary UFC fighter Ronda Rousey has been recently spotted backstage at last night’s NXT event which took place Riverside, California. During the show, Rousey was spotted talking to several fans at the arena and interacting with various NXT talents.

In case you didn’t know…

There have been rumours going around for a while about Rousey's interest signing with the WWE.

Since making an appearance at Wrestlemania 31 there has been constant speculation of Rousey signing with the world’s biggest wrestling promotion. The former UFC champion has reportedly also begun training at WWE’s Performance Center and it seems like it is just a matter of time before she officially signs with Vince McMahon’s company.

The heart of the matter

At last night’s NXT event in Riverside; Rousey was seen greeting her fans backstage at the event. The 30-year-old stopped by to take selfies with her fans and even spoke with them.

Rousey was also seen with several NXT Superstars, including Mae Young Classic winner, Kairi Sane, who tweeted out by thanking her.

Earlier this year Rousey was also spotted during the Mae Young Classic tournament, where she along with her four horsewomen group teased a match against WWE’s four horsewomen.

What’s next?

With Rousey having such a strong relationship with the WWE, there is surely a chance of her signing with the company sooner rather than later.

Stephanie McMahon has also said that the offer for Rousey still stands and she would love to sign her to the company. COO Triple H has also stated in the past that she is very interested in signing with the company and remains a huge fan of the sport.

Author’s Take

With Ronda’s close friend, Shayna Baszler signing with the WWE earlier this year, it is just a matter of time before Rousey herself also officially signs the WWE contract and becomes a part of the roster.
