What's the story?
It was recently announced that WWE SmackDown Live Superstar Rusev, would be teaming up with his real-life wife Lana, for the Mixed Match Challenge, to be streamed on Facebook Watch.
While Rusev may be a fantastic wrestler, Lana is certainly not quite at par with the other women in this tournament. Rusev found the perfect way to help her train for this big challenge. Lana hit the ropes and took bumps to the backdrop of the melodious voice of Aiden English.
In case you didn't know...
Rusev and Aiden English may seem like an oddball pairing at first, but the unit has found immense success on SmackDown Live. The 'Rusev Day' gimmick may just be the most 'over' thing in WWE, at the moment.
Sales figures for 'Rusev Day' merchandise has shot through the roof, as the awesome twosome have reinvented themselves into an entertaining comedy act.
The heart of the matter
To inspire and motivate Lana to go the extra mile, Aiden English came up with some of the most inspiring lyrics ever. They went something like:
Lana is the best! Lana Number 1!
As one can see from the video that has been linked above, these lyrics inspired The Ravishing Russian to hit the ropes harder and take bumps like a pro.
Rusev refers to the Mixed Match Challenge as the 'Mixed Machka Challenge' and while he invited Lana to come and sit down with him following her training, he asked her to get up and hit the ropes again, as nobody wins the challenge sitting down.

The Mixed Match Challenge begins on the 16th of January and will be streamed on Facebook Watch.

Lana is the best! Lana number 1!
I love watching all three of these performers, and therefore this video was a treat to watch. Lana seems a little lost after being separated from Rusev, and I hope this gives her a new lease on life.
I'm not particularly interested in the Mixed Match Challenge, but I hope it's a fun show to watch.
