What’s the story?

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Rusev & Lana addressed his upcoming match with The Undertaker at the WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble PPV event.

Additionally, Lana opened up on the fact that she and the other female WWE Superstars won’t performing at the aforementioned PPV.

In case you didn’t know…

The WWE recently announced that Rusev will face The Undertaker in a “Casket Match” at the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV which takes place later this month.

The aforementioned matchup will mark one of The Undertaker’s rare matches—considering the fact that in the past few years, the legendary Deadman has, generally, only competed at WrestleMania.

The heart of the matter

Rusev explained that The Undertaker is a WWE legend, but so is he. Upon being probed as to whether ‘Taker is past his prime, Rusev added that the Deadman may be a bit past his prime, whereas he himself hasn’t even peaked at his prime yet.

Furthermore, Lana emphasized that Rusev will crush The Undertaker, as he’s stronger, faster & better. Rusev agreed, however, added that The Undertaker does have an advantage since they’ll be competing in a Casket Match and Rusev has never been buried.

Upon being questioned as to whether Rusev will send The Undertaker into retirement, the former added that it might be the case, as he’ll beat ‘Taker so bad that it may turn out to be his last fight in WWE. Besides, Lana spoke about her and the other female WWE Superstars not performing at the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV; stating—

"Well, unfortunately, this time none of the women are going but the men are going…We're just going to hope like we did in Dubai, that the men went there for a while and then this year we had our first women's match. We're just going to continue breaking down barriers."

Rusev also chimed in with words of high praise for The Undertaker, pointing out that the latter is one of the all-time-great wrestlers. Following which, Lana continued that Rusev is number-1 since every day is “Rusev Day”.
