What’s the story?
Following his match against AJ Styles on this week’s episode of Smackdown Live, Samir Singh decided to take to social media and pay a small tribute to The Phenomenal One.
Despite suffering a quick loss against Styles, Samir did not hesitate to show respect to his opponent via his official Instagram account.
In case you didn’t know…
Samir Singh first started working in the WWE back in 2016, when he competed in the first ever WWE Cruiserweight Classic under the name of Harv Shira.
Samir joined the company with his real-life brother Sunil Singh and the duo spent some a few months down in NXT, before eventually being called up to the main-roster earlier this year. Upon his main roster call-up in 2017, Samir formed an alliance with current WWE World Champion Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh.
The duo (Samir and Sunil Singh) has been playing a huge role in Mahal’s success to the top and has also helped him win numerous important matches in 2017.
The heart of the matter
On last week’s episode of Smackdown Live, AJ Styles faced off and defeated Sunil Singh within one minute. Following Sunil’s defeat, Jinder Mahal stated that on this week’s episode of SD Live that it would be Samir who would wrestle Styles in honour of The Maharaja.
However, Samir also suffered the same fate as his brother after Styles made quick work of him by beating Singh within one minute via the Styles Clash.
Despite suffering a humiliating loss to the former WWE World Champion, the Canadian Superstar paid tribute to AJ Styles on Instagram.
What’s next?
The Singh brothers will now turn their focus on the upcoming WWE pay-per-view Survivor Series when Jinder Mahal will face off against Brock Lesnar. Samir and Sunil Singh will give their best efforts to make sure that Mahal reigns supreme over Lesnar on November 19.

In my opinion, it is great to see Samir Singh pay respect to his opponent AJ Styles, despite Singh being a heel and Styles being a face. The Phenomenal One may be the best wrestler on the planet and deserves all the praise that is lavished on him.
