What's the story?

At the WWE's latest house show in Dortmund, Germany, The Shield found themselves a new member with the absence of Roman Reigns, Triple H and Kurt Angle, the 'Samoan Submission Machine' Samoa Joe.

In case you didn't know...

Roman Reigns has been off of television and house shows as he recovers from a viral illness that has sidelined him since TLC.

Kurt Angle had to fill in for him at the pay-per-view and since then the RAW General Manager and Triple H have done the honours of being the 'third' member of The Shield during the European tour.

The heart of the matter

During the WWE LIVE show in Dortmund Germany, SmackDown LIVE's most popular faction, The New Day stepped up to the occasion.

The main event of the show was The Shield vs The New Day vs The Bar for the tag-team titles.

In the midst of the shenanigans, Samoa Joe and Finn Balor found their way out as well as the RAW Superstars teamed up to teach their invading SmackDown LIVE opponents a lesson, leading to this incredible moment with The Shield finding a new Samoan to help with their Triple Powerbomb.

Cesaro also had some fun, hitting his infamous Cesaro Swing as the rest of the RAW Superstars watched on and encouraged him

What's next?

Finn Balor and Samoa Joe will be part of Team RAW for the men's Traditional Survivor Series match at Survivor Series, whilst it looks like Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will finally be reunited with Roman Reigns to take on The New Day at the pay-per-view.

Last but not least, The Bar will take on The Usos in a tag-team champion vs. champion match.

Author's take

Obviously, Samoa Joe won't be a permanent member of The Shield, like in the case of Triple H and Kurt Angle, but it's fun to see the feuding members of Monday Night RAW teaming up to take on a common enemy.

How does that age-old adage go? The enemy of my enemy is my friend?
