WWE News:  Samoa Joe seems to confirm his Mixed Match Challenge inclusion after it was leaked

<p>
Samoa Joe is coming up on his one-year anniversary on the main roster...

What's the story?

Early in the morning on Thursday, Samoa Joe took to Twitter almost seeming to confirm that he will be a participant in the upcoming Mixed Match Challenge. Take a look at his tweet below:

In case you didn't know...

On Wednesday morning, the WWE announced a unique series that will air on Facebook Watch called the Mixed Match Challenge. The 12-week event will be a mixed tag tournament featuring WWE Superstars from Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live.

Each event will be a 20-minute episode that airs after SmackDown Live, and the winning team is awarded $100k to the charity of their choice.

The heart of the matter?

After the announcement was made, there was a poll on WWE.com that supposedly spoiled the fact that Samoa Joe would be the fan vote winner. The poll listed competitors of the tournament, but Joe wasn't on the list that was publicly revealed yesterday.

Some reports suggest that fan vote is going to be rigged for Joe to win because of the error in the poll the WWE put up, but there are other possibilities too.

Joe could be replacing someone already announced due to a conflict or minor injury. It could have just been a simple mistake and Joe isn't even going to be in the fan vote at all.

Based on the joking manner of Samoa Joe's tweet, he could just be playing along with the error and decided to have some fun with it on social media.

What's next?

Next up for the WWE is Clash Of Champions; which takes place live on the WWE Network this Sunday from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Two of the headlining matches include the WWE Champion AJ Styles against Jinder Mahal and Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn taking on Shinsuke Nakamura & Randy Orton with both Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as the special guest referees. If Owens and Zayn lose, they are completely fired from the WWE.

Author's take...

For an event that is supposed to have fan interaction much like the old Cyber Sunday and Taboo Tuesday events, I sure hope the final fan voting isn't rigged. I think it was just a simple mistake and Joe decided to have a little fun.
