WWE News: Sasha Banks' hair is now being sold on eBay

What's the story?

eBay is a great place for many fans to pick up wrestling merchandise, but it seems that there will always be that one fan that decides to go one step further. There are stories about people who sell tissue that is used by famous stars, but finding someone's strands of hair and auctioning them off online is definitely a new low for the WWE Universe.

In case you didn't know

Sasha Banks has bright purple hair, so it would be easy to be able to spot her strands of hair over anyone else's and it seems that this is exactly what the seller did. After bidding on Sasha's ring worn Connor's Cure shirt earlier this year, the seller also received a few stands of Sasha's hair that were still attached to the shirt when it was delivered.

Rather than taking the hair off and discarding it, it seems that the only real option was to sell the hair online with an update to this item being that the hair's sold for $39.99 last night.

The heart of the matter

United States-based wrestling fan upstatesports10 listed WWE Authentic Sasha Banks Hair Strands Raw 9/18/17 as an item on eBay a few days ago.

Sasha's hair was brought for $39.99 last night

The description read:

"This auction includes two stands of purple hair from WWE superstar Sasha Banks. I found these strands weaved into the Connor's Cure tshirt I purchased on WWE auction. I pulled them out and placed in a bag. These are from the 9/18/17 Raw episode when Sasha comes out to block Alexa Bliss from leaving the match against Nia Jax. This auction is for the hair strands only, not the signed ring worn tshirt."

Despite this sale being a slightly random one that no one would argue that validity of, the seller decided to include the Certificate of Authenticity when it comes to the shirt that they purchased as proof that these were definitely strands of hair belonging to The Boss.

"I promise all pieces were pulled from shirt after inspection upon opening. I assure the strands belonged to Sasha Banks on raw 9/18 when she worn this shirt which can be proven by watching or viewing the authenticity of the ring worn tshirt by WWE."

What's next?

The item was seemingly sold last night for $39.99 so someone will be opening up a post-Christmas treat in a few days time. WWE has sold a number of ring worn shirts on their auction site over the past few years but has never seen anyone decide to sell the hair fr the shirt online. This may lead to WWE checking the shirts before they are sent out to buyers in the future.

Authors take

This one is a hard one to take in, is it strange that someone put Sasha's hair online or even stranger that someone actually bought it? It would definitely be interesting to see Sasha's reaction to this, or if someone is now going to be bragging online about the fact that they own a few strands of her hair. It's all just a little bit random.
