In case you didn't know...

The Four Horsewomen is a group consisting of Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Bayley, who put women's wrestling in WWE on the map, first with their matches in NXT, and then on the main roster.

Each one of them has held the Women's Championship of his/her respective brand in the past, and paved the way for many women to follow their dreams.

The heart of the matter

When asked about the Four Horsewomen, Banks replied with pride:

It's the best, they motivate me. They make me who I am because I want to be the best and I want to get better every day. I remember being with Bayley, Charlotte and Becky in NXT, and we just pushed each other, and I remember every time that we had a match we wanted to outshine the guys, having the fans be like, 'You know what, they stole the show.' That's the best feeling in the world.

Sasha added that she wanted people to not just say that 'it was a good girl's match' but 'it was a good match'. According to her, whenever the Horsewomen stepped into the ring against each other, they went to war.

What's next?

Banks is part of a Fatal 4-Way match for the RAW Women's Championship at No Mercy. Can she regain her championship for the fifth time, when she faces current champ Alexa Bliss, Emma and Nia Jax?

Author's take

Years from now, when we think of women's wrestling, we'll think back to the era of the Four Horsewomen and their battles. Kudos to them for changing the game for so many women worldwide.
