What’s the story?
Per Brutus Beefcake and Sean Mooney on the latter’s Prime Time podcast on MLW Radio, Scott Hall got into fisticuffs with a fellow WWE legend.
The tussle is said to have transpired between Hall and King Kong Bundy at a fan convention in Staten Island, New York last month. The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided additional details on the incident.
In case you didn’t know…
Scott Hall has suffered from addiction issues in the past, struggled with alcoholism, and had publicly stated that he’s been sober for quite some time now.
However, the professional wrestling community was abuzz with the banter of Hall engaging in an argument—while under the influence of alcohol—which later turned into fisticuffs with Bundy at the aforementioned event, since late-November.
The heart of the matter
Former WWE Superstar Brutus Beefcake and ex-WWE announcer Sean Mooney discussed the same on the latter’s podcast, wherein Beefcake stated—
"He (Scott Hall) was in a vodka rage and started messing with the wrong guy, King Kong Bundy, and things went bad for him."
Hall was supposed to be at the event, but arrived late in an inebriated state, following which he proceeded to verbally abuse King Kong Bundy.
Expounding upon the Hall-Bundy incident that took place last month, it was noted on the Observer noted that Scott Hall was "messed up" and began shouting at Bundy. It was added that Bundy was angered by Hall’s verbal abuse directed towards him, following which he grabbed the latter; holding Hall by the throat. Per multiple fan accounts, the melee was broken up before anyone sustained serious damage.

Scott Hall presently works in managerial roles on the UK pro-wrestling circuit and is yet to provide a statement on the recent incident.

With talk of Scott Hall falling off the wagon and descending into the dark world of addiction having grasped the pro-wrestling community, the situation seems grim, to say the least. Nothing has been confirmed per se, but when someone as trustworthy as Brutus Beefcake corroborates the same, it’s tough to disagree.
Nevertheless, much like WCW legend Diamond Dallas Page famously says, the power of positivity can beat the most menacing demons. Here’s hoping Scott can recover in his battle with addiction/alcoholism.
