WWE News: Season 7 of Total Divas storylines, cast additions and premiere date revealed 

What’s the story?

The season 7 of Total Divas is all set to premiere on Wednesday, November 1. WWE wrestlers Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and Carmella will join the cast this season, which already consists of The Bella Twins, Nattie Neidhart, Trinity Fatu aka Naomi, Lana and Maryse.

Total Divas is an American reality TV show that gives us an in-depth look into the lives of WWE's women superstars, from behind the scenes work in WWE to their personal lives.

The show started way back in 2013 and is currently in its seventh season. Season 7 will also mark the 100th episode of the show.

The heart of the matter

The cast of the Total Bellas already includes The Bella Twins, Natalya, Naomi, Lana and Maryse and they will be joined by newcomers Nia Jax, Carmella and Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss this season.

This season, the cast is scheduled to travel around the world, take on new journeys and challenges, and will have to make some difficult decisions both in and out of the ring.

Smackdown superstars Naomi and Natalya will get into a heated argument on the show and the two ladies will get a chance to settle their differences at Summerslam, culminating their rivalry in dramatic fashion.

Meanwhile, Naomi also focuses on keeping her marriage fresh with Jimmy Uso, as well as maintaining a crazy work schedule in the WWE.

This season fans will also get to see The Bella Twins make some tough choices, with both Brie and Nikki discussing their future in the WWE and what would be the best time for them to make a comeback. Nikki also receives an offer from “Dancing with the Stars” which she says is an offer hard to refuse.

On the other hand, Maryse and The Miz have suffered a second home burglary. The Miz refuses to leave Los Angeles after the incident and the couple decide upon a new place which they will call home.

Lana is in a dilemma as she prepares and works hard to improve her performances inside the ring, but on the other hand, her husband Rusev reveals that he wants a baby. Lana is absolutely torn after hearing Rusev’s confession and has to make a choice between living her dream or starting a family.

Smackdown wrestler Carmella thinks that her boyfriend Big Cass is “the one” for her, but it could be tricky for them as they are planning to move to the opposite sides of the country.

Newest addition to the show, Nia Jax, is struggling when it comes to the dating world as she cannot find the ideal partner. The other women help her in order to find a right guy for her.

Alexa Bliss enjoys the fruits of her labour but when her fiancé, Buddy Murphy visits her, Alexa is forced to question her uncertainty about him marrying her.

As for Paige, the controversial star has been dropped from the show.

What’s next?

The previous season of Total Divas averaged almost 1 million viewers and with the addition of three new superstars, this season of Total Divas could expect a similar or an even larger viewership.

Author’s take

Personally, I’m not a fan of the show but the concept helps other fans to see a lot of behind the scene footage. With John Cena and Daniel Bryan part of the show, it surely makes Total Divas a little more exciting.

As far as this season goes, if there’s anyone whom I’d like to keep tabs closely, it is Alexa Bliss.
