WWE News: Shayna Baszler reacts to Ronda Rousey getting a shot at the Raw Women's Title
'The Queen of Spades' believes that the Four Horsewomen will be taking over the entire Pro Wrestling industry.
What’s the story?
NXT Women’s Champion and Ronda Rousey’s fellow Horsewoman, Shayna Baszler recently took to her official Twitter handle in order to give her thoughts on Rousey’s upcoming Raw Women’s Title match against Nia Jax at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.
In case you didn’t know…
During last night’s NBC Universal Upfronts event in New York City, current Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax decided to pick the next challenger for her championship belt by issuing a challenge to former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, noting that the two ladies should finally get the chance to square off against each other at this year’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view.
Shortly afterward, WWE went on to confirm the match via their official Twitter handle and also posted a report on their official website, seemingly confirming the bout for this year’s MITB PPV.
The heart of the matter
Current NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler and MMA veteran Ronda Rousey have built a very respectable and formidable relationship with each other over the course of these past few years, and the two former UFC stars, along with WWE Performance Center’s newest trainees Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir are collectively billed as the Four Horsewomen of MMA.
Baszler, who also recently accomplished her biggest achievement at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans by capturing the NXT Women’s Title from Ember Moon, went on to weigh in her thoughts on Rousey’s forthcoming Raw Women’s Title shot at the MITB pay-per-view, by seemingly giving a reality check to the entire WWE Universe.
As noted, ‘The Queen of Spades’ posted on Twitter claiming that once Ronda Rousey finally captures the Raw Women’s Title from Nia Jax, the Four Horsewomen will eventually start running the entire Pro Wrestling business and that right there is the absolute truth.
This year’s Money in the Bank PPV will take place on the 17th of June, 2018 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
Rousey’s title shot against Nia Jax certainly comes in as a big surprise to me and I’m actually excited to see how all of this eventually plays out and if Rousey will indeed manage to get her hands on a championship belt in the WWE.
