WWE News: Sheamus and Cesaro open up about their relationship with each other

In a recent interview with The Sun, WWE Superstars and current Raw Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro opened up about their relationship as a tag team and how fans react to The Bar.

In case you didn’t know…

The duo of Sheamus and Cesaro—collectively referred as The Bar, are four-time Raw Tag Team Champions and are considered as one of the most innovative tag teams in WWE today. In 2016, Sheamus and Cesaro won their first tag team championship as a team when they defeated The New Day and ended their record-setting reign of 483 days.

The heart of the matter

While speaking with British outlet The Sun, Sheamus and Cesaro spoke about a host of wrestling related topics including their chemistry as a tag team and more. Here are a few highlights from the interview:

Sheamus on how he's changed since teaming with Cesaro:

Sheamus said teaming up with Cesaro is really fun and ever since he started teaming up with “The Swiss Superman” he has let his guard down. Sheamus claimed that whenever he is out teaming up with Cesaro, he doesn’t really care about promos and backstage scenes, and tries to be himself instead.

“I love what I do. I'm very professional, I always want to do the best job that I can. But now I don't care as much about what other people think – whether they like it or they don't.”- Sheamus stated.

Cesaro on their relationship behind-the-scenes:

Cesaro stated that from the moment Mick Foley made him and Sheamus a team, they have only started to grow as a duo and their chemistry has been evolving ever since. The former US Champion also said that he and Sheamus are now like brothers.

“The fun part is that it happened in front of the fans. It was a 14-month process. It doesn't happen like that much anymore. I think the team is successful because what you see is what you get. This is just us."- Cesaro added.

Sheamus on how fans react to The Bar:

The Celtic Warrior said that ever since he started teaming up with Cesaro, he feels like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders and additionally, Sheamus also claimed that the duo usually clicks when they are not overthinking stuff.

“We just go out there and have fun, because life's too short. We just go out there, have a craic, and do our thing – and people are reacting to it because they know it's real and knows it's legitimate."- Sheamus said.

What’s next?

Following their recent tag title win at this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Sheamus and Cesaro will now look forward to engaging into new feuds on Monday Night Raw as they plan on becoming the most dominant tag team in WWE.

It is almost amazing how Sheamus and Cesaro went from being the biggest rivals to one of the best tag teams on the planet today. Their in-ring chemistry has been absolutely amazing and the duo has certainly raised the bar in the WWE.
