James Ellsworth might now regret calling women 'weak'.
James Ellsworth might now regret calling women 'weak'.

What's the story?

The women of SmackDown LIVE shared a special bonding moment at the recent WWE LIVE show in Leeds, England when they all got to bust out some classic finishing moves like the Hulk Hogan Leg Drop and the Stone Cold Stunner on a hapless James Ellsworth.

In case you didn't know...

Just when I was starting to think to myself that I'd like to be James Ellsworth, as he gets to follow Carmella around all day, barely has to wrestle and gets to travel the world with the WWE, he has the week from hell.

First, he loses to Becky Lynch in the first inter-gender match the WWE has had in ages. tapping out to her submission finisher, and then his beau Carmella Superkicks him to add insult to injury.

The heart of the matter

During a 3 vs 4 handicap tag-team match featuring Charlotte, Naomi and Becky Lynch vs Tamina, Natalya, Carmella and Lana, the women took time out of their contest to make James Ellsworth's week even worse.

The women of SmackDown LIVE took it in turns to decimate Carmella's former lapdog with a series of classic finishing moves, you can check out the video posted on WWE's Instagram ab.

What's next?

James Ellsworth appears to be in the doghouse for failing to beat Becky Lynch on the last episode of SmackDown LIVE, especially when he claimed that all women were weak beforehand.

I'd argue that he deserves it. However, this statement from Carmella may indicate there's hope for Ellsworth's relationship with the 'Princess of Staten Island' yet.

Author's take

Poor James Ellsworth. That's a hell of a lot of punishment for one man to take, and all because he's fallen in love with someone who keeps getting him into these situations.

Sometimes it's hard to remember that this guy has legit victories over AJ Styles.
