Charlotte is set to face Natalya in a match for the SmackDown Women's Championship

What's the story?

On next week's episode of SmackDown Live, Natalya will put the blue brand Women's Championship on the line against Charlotte Flair.

In case you didn't know...

Shane McMahon has put his champions through the ringer ahead of the battle with their Raw counterparts at Survivor Series.

The Usos defended their tag titles against Gable and Jordan and were able to come through as the winners. Jinder Mahal was not as successful in his championship defence as he lost the title to AJ Styles in a match which saw the WWE Championship change hands on SmackDown Live for the first time since 2003.

The heart of the matter

Shane McMahon set up a match for next week where Natalya will have to defend her title against Charlotte Flair in a Women's Championship match.

Natalya won her title against Naomi at Summerslam and has defended the championship successfully against all challengers. Shane's Championship match announcement frustrated Natalya as she felt Charlotte had been given more than a fair number of chances to win the title.

She expressed her feelings to Shane and later took to Twitter as well.

Natalya got herself disqualified during her match with Natalya at Hell in a Cell.

What's next?

Natalya is set to defend her SmackDown Women's Championship against Charlotte on the November 14, 2017, episode of SmackDown Live.

Author's take

A Hart vs Flair Match is always exciting, and when these two ladies put on a show, it is quite incredible. Natalya has been on her most successful run in recent memory, but she is destined to drop the title to Charlotte Flair sooner or later.
