What's the story?
Shane Helms AKA 'The Hurricane' made a short and sweet appearance at Royal Rumble 2018, much to the delight of the WWE Universe. The crowd was ecstatic to see their hero (or even, superhero) return to the fold again.
It was a rather touching moment for Shane Helms though, when he met Roman Reigns. It brought back memories of Reigns' brother, Rosey, who was Helms' own tag team partner.
In case you didn't know...
Old school WWE fans may remember Rosey from his stint in 3-Minute Warning. However, perhaps his most interesting run was as the 'Super Hero in Training' alongside the Hurricane.
The two men were a favourite among the WWE Universe, and for a while were even joined by Stacy Keibler.
Just notice how much the crowd roars at Backlash 2005, when the dynamic duo wins the World Tag Team Championships.
The heart of the matter
Last year, Rosey departed the world, following congestive heart failure. It was a big blow to the wrestling community, many of whom adored the man to no end. One can only imagine how much The Hurricane was affected by the loss of his partner.
Helms met up with Roman Reigns backstage following the Royal Rumble appearance. As is natural, Helms remembered his old tag team partner, and Roman Reigns' brother. He professed his love and admiration for the Anoa'i family, and said how they'll always have a special place in his heart.
What's next?
The Hurricane's run in WWE is over. Roman Reigns, on the other hand, is their top star. He should be an integral part of the proceedings, heading to Elimination Chamber and beyond.
