What’s the story?
In a recent Q&A at the Wales Comic Con in Wrexham, Sting opened up on a myriad of topics. He prominently spoke about wrestling an intoxicated Jeff Hardy at TNA Victory Road 2011.
Additionally, Sting also revealed the favourite year, match and championship win in his pro-wrestling career. Besides, ‘The Icon’ also addressed who hit him hardest in the ring and shared his opinion on how he felt about WCW recruiting multiple WWE Superstars to the promotion back in the day.
Sting affirmed, "Jeff was in a bad way, he was deteriorating as the day went on, by the time our match rolled around it became clear that he couldn't compete so I had to take him down quickly. He has since turned it all around, I love Jeff, I love his work, I hold nothing against him and wish him all the best."

Sting defended his TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Hardy at TNA’s Victory Road PPV in 2011.
The match-up transpired during a dark phase in Jeff’s personal life, which saw him struggle with drug addiction issues. The aforementioned match served as the show’s headliner and was derided by fans and experts alike in the professional wrestling business.

Furthermore, Sting revealed his favourite year as 1997, when he transitioned from the Surfer Sting to Crow Sting; whereas his favourite match was the ‘Empty Arena’ match with Kurt Angle that was both bizarre and fun.
Sting also added that his favourite championship win was when he defeated Ric Flair for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on 1990. He continued that it was Vader who hit him the hardest in the ring.

The Icon also opined that the inflow of several WWE Superstars into WCW back in the day was a great positive as Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall all handled the PR duties efficiently and served to increase the ratings for WCW.

Sting is presently signed to the WWE under a Legends Contract. He often makes non-wrestling promotional appearances for the WWE from time to time.
On the other hand, Jeff Hardy competes in the WWE's RAW brand and is currently recovering from a shoulder injury.

Sting is all class, and it’s great to see how Jeff Hardy has turned his life around for good. The Victory Road 2011 debacle in now in the past. It is also edifying that Sting holds no ill will towards Hardy for the same.
