WWE News: Sunny talks about her relationship with Shawn Michaels

Sunny with The Road Warriors.

What's the story?

During the April 25th, 2017, edition of the Wrestlingus Show, Sunny opened up about her relationship with Shawn Michaels.

In case you didn't know...

Sunny made her first WWE appearance in 1995 when she was known as “Tamara Murphy”. Her first duty was to report the live event news during television programs. As her career evolved, Sunny became more involved with the in-ring action, as she was assigned to multiple Superstars as their valet or manager.

In 2011, Sunny was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Ironically, this was the same year that Shawn Michaels was also inducted as well.

Since her time in the wrestling spotlight, Sunny has ventured out into a more provocative field as an adult film actress. In 2016, Vivid Entertainment released Sunny’s first pornographic film entitled “Sunny Side Up: In Through The Backdoor”.

The heart of the matter

Sunny talked about Shawn's bizarre fetish to lipstick, which she goes into great detail about, in her book.

“That was his fetish and that's what I wrote about. It was kind of funny too because he likes to smear it all over your face and the problem with red lipstick is that it stains. So, like, my entire face would be stained red for the rest of the day. It was terrible.”

When the topic was brought up about HBK’s past being somewhat off-limits, due to his current marriage and trying to prevent his wife from being exposed to anything hurtful, Sunny argued that Shawn didn't even know his current wife back then, at the time of their affair.

“Listen, when we were together for almost an entire year, hooking up and dating and traveling to Jamaica and everything like that, he didn't even know his current wife. They weren't even friends, they weren't even acquaintances, so why would this be hurtful towards their marriage? This is from his past, from my past that had nothing to do with his wife.”

What's next?

It appears Tammy is focused on expanding her adult entertainment “empire”. She has already ventured out into a Twitter offshoot campaign, where she has fans sign up to this service where they will get exclusive photos and videos, available only to members of said service. The only catch is, this exclusive service costs $29.99 per month.

Author Take

Sunny is and has for some time now been nothing more than a sideshow freak. While I completely understand and respect anyone's hustle, there is always a fine line of self-respect, which should not be crossed. Unfortunately, Sunny has crossed that line a long time ago.

It’s her life, but she does not represent the sport of professional wrestling in a positive light at all and that's too bad.
