WWE News: Teddy Hart comments on his in-ring comeback and reveals his current WWE favourites

What’s the story?

Canadian Professional wrestler Teddy Hart was recently interviewed by Sports Illustrated Extra Mustard’s, Justin Barrasso, and discussed a lot of topics, including an in-ring comeback for Hart.

Hart said that his in-ring comeback was something really unpredictable, claiming that nobody thought it was possible for him to make a return at the age of 37. He added by saying that age is just a number that is working against him, but due to his tremendous in-ring experience, he is still able to work.

Teddy Hart is part of the legendary Hart family and is the grandchild of WWE Hall of Famer, Stu Hart. Teddy is the cousin of NJPW star David Hart Smith, as well as current Smackdown Live Women’s champion, Natalya Neidhart. He is also the nephew of WWE legend Bret “The Hitman” Hart.

Hart is one of the most controversial characters ever to step foot into the wrestling business. He was first signed by WWE back in 1998 and became the youngest person to ever sign a developmental contract with the company, but he was released later that same year. In 2005, he made a return to the company and wrestled in a few dark matches, and was used as an enhancement talent. But after several years in OVW and FCW, he was once again released from the company in 2007.

Since then, the former JAPW Heavyweight champion has worked for major promotions such as Ring of Honor, Lucha Libre AAA, and Jersey All Pro Wrestling.

He was the youngest wrestler to be signed by the WWE before being released due to attitude problems.

The heart of the matter

In the interview, Hart also revealed that he continues to learn something new every day, even after so many years in the business. He also said that he watches a lot of skating, gymnastics, and ballet and tries to connect all of these with pro wrestling.

When asked about his current WWE favourites, the former NWA Grand Warrior champion said that his cousin Natalya is someone who he adores a lot. Hart said that the current Smackdown Live women’s champion is one of the most hardworking female superstars he has ever meet, and that her husband Tyson Kidd is also one of the greatest human beings that he has ever come across. He also thinks that Kidd is one of the best technical wrestlers of all time, and called him one of the most talented innovators on the planet.

Hart also added by saying that former two-time WWE Cruiserweight champion, Neville, is also one of his favourite superstars that he likes to watch. Hart labelled Neville as a “phenomenal” wrestler.

Teddy Hart is currently working in the American independent scene and has competed in promotions such as Dragon Gate USA and ACW.

Hart also made his debut for Nova Pro Wrestling, Canadian Wrestling Elite and also made his Lucha Libre Elite debut in the last two years.

Author’s take

As controversial as Teddy Hart is, there is no doubt that he is one of the most innovative wrestlers on the planet today, if not the most innovative. Hart has often used innovative ideas for his matches and has been doing some of the riskiest high-flying moves in pro wrestling currently.

It is good to see him making a comeback to pro wrestling even at the age of 37, which could prove to be really inspirational for a lot of other wrestlers around the globe.
