WWE News: The Bella Twins confirm their WrestleMania roles

Will we see Nikki and Brie in action?

What's the story?

After it was reported that the Bella Twins were in New Orleans ahead of tonight's WrestleMania, speculation had been running rampant that we may see Nikki and Brie in action during the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal Match.

Well, the Total Divas and Total Bellas stars have today confirmed their roles for this year's event.

In case you didn't know...

The last time we saw the Bellas, they were competing in the Royal Rumble.

In fact, Nikki Bella was one of the two final women in the match, eventually being eliminated by Asuka, who will compete against Charlotte tonight for the SmackDown Women's Championship.

During the match, Nikki eliminated her sister Brie, but there are clearly no hard feelings as the pair arrived in New Orleans together ahead of WrestleMania.

The heart of the matter

Well, Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso, took to Twitter today to say that, as of this morning, the Bellas are merely going to be in attendance as fans, a line Nikki Bella's fiance John Cena, has also said after failing to get a response from The Undertaker.

What's next?

Well, the card is already stacked for Mania, but there's no doubt the Bella Twins bring their own unique star power to any event and, while they claim to only be there as fans, you really never know when it comes to WWE.

The confirmed participants for the Women's Battle Royal are Bayley, Sasha Banks, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Natalya, Lana, Mickie James, Mandy Rose, Sony Deville and Dana Brooke. With a few slots left to be filled, could we see Nikki and Brie?

Author's take

Well, there was never much doubt the Bellas would be in attendance. It is WrestleMania, after all, and with Brie's husband Daniel Bryan returning to action in a building that has played such a huge role in his wrestling career, after an emotional three year fight to get back in the ring, and with Nikki's husband John Cena possibly facing Undertaker, the twins were always likely to make an appearance.

Regardless, I think they'd be a great addition to the Battle Royal!
