WWE News: The Miz is eyeing Roman Reigns' Intercontinental Championship upon return

Wi
Will the Big Dog have a new opponent when The Miz returns?

What's the story?

The Miz had to take a hiatus from WWE because he was needed for his acting ability to film the newest edition of The Marine franchise for WWE Studios. Before he left, The Miz dropped his Intercontinental Championship to Roman Reigns.

But it sounds like since The Miz is on his way back to WWE, he has his sights set on getting right back on top where he left off.

In case you didn't know...

The Miz was Rolling Stone Magazine's Wrestler Of The Year for a reason. After all, he worked his tail off this year making towns and representing the Miztourage.

With his wife Maryse by his side for much of the year, he had one outstanding performance after another. Now that he's on his way back it looks like it will be showtime once more.

The heart of the matter

In a rather amusing message, The Miz said we've suffered long enough because he's coming back. He promises that it's time for a real man and champion. This kind of working would lead many to believe that he'll be aiming for Roman Reigns upon his return.

The fact that Roman Reigns seemed to have defeated Samoa Joe in clean fashion on the New Year's Day edition of Raw seemingly ties up The Big Dog's feud with Joe for now as well. Therefore, The Miz seems like a perfect opponent to step in to reclaim his title once more.

What's next?

If 2018 is half as good as 2017 was for The Miz then we're all in for something very special. It looks like The Miz will have more than a few things to say to Roman Reigns upon his return. Let's just hope The Big Dog is in a mood to listen.

Author's take

The Miz is awesome and after the year he had in 2017 it's hard to deny that fact. But even though he's been away fans could still find him on television as he was featured on Total Divas and as host of MTV's The Challenge: Champs vs Pros where former WWE Diva Cameron is also a contestant.
