What’s the story?

Per PWInsider, the New Day are set to compete in RAW live events for the rest of WWE’s ongoing European tour.

On that note, the reason behind the same is WWE looking to capitalize on the New Day’s recent ‘Under Siege 2.0’ invasion of RAW.

In case you didn’t know…

The New Day presently perform for the WWE’s SmackDown brand and appeared on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

Although the New Day (Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston & Big E) appeared to be primed to attack the RAW Superstars, Kurt Angle prevented the blue brand’s second ‘Under Siege’ attack on the red brand; by coming out with Braun Strowman and other RAW Superstars to shoo away the SmackDown Live team.

The heart of the matter

Speaking of which, the WWE higher-ups seem to be interested in continuing the angle of New Day’s appearances for RAW, in the days leading up to Survivor Series.

The WWE’s Survivor Series PPV will see the promotion’s two topmost brands ergo RAW and SmackDown, compete against one another for brand-supremacy.

Furthermore, although the prospect of the New Day competing on RAW’s television broadcast hasn’t been confirmed, fans can rest assured that the popular trio will indeed perform at the red brand’s live events for the remainder of the WWE’s European tour.

What’s next?

The RAW and SmackDown brands go head-to-head at WWE’s upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view which goes down at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on November 19th—an event which will see Brock Lesnar take on Jinder Mahal!

Author’s take

The WWE seems to be pulling out all the stops, hyping up Survivor Series, and rightfully so.

The New Day are highly entertaining, and booking them to compete for RAW, albeit on the brand’s house shows, in fact, serve to provide an impetus to Survivor Series drama. Giddy up!
