The New Day and Carmella could team up for the WWE Mixed Match Challenge

What’s the story?

Big E from The New Day has taken to social media so as to post a hilarious video of his team trying to recruit Carmella.

With a bit of assistance from flapjacks, The New Day attempted to convince Carmella to become their Tag Team partner for the upcoming WWE Mixed Match Challenge.

In case you didn’t know…

The WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge will be presented to fans as an internet TV series, as WWE joins hands with Facebook to bring fans a unique tournament.

The tournament will feature Mixed Tag Team Matches i.e. matches featuring a Tag Team comprised of one male and female Superstar respectively, taking on another team.

The heart of the matter

The New Day attempted to recruit Carmella by asking a referee to hand her a few flapjacks but informing him to refrain from revealing the fact that it’s from them.

Nevertheless, the referee handed it over to Carmella and spilled the beans on the delicacy being from The New Day.

Following which, Carmella walked up to New Day and was asked whether she’d like teaming up with them for the Mixed Match Challenge. While Ms Money In The Bank asserted that the flapjacks were a cute gesture, she added that whether or not they get to team up is entirely up to the fans. The four Superstars then proceeded to wait around in awkward silence, and then simultaneously stare into the camera suggesting that fans get voting to team them up immediately.

What’s next?

The WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge airs from January 16th, 2018.

The winning team shall receive a $100,000—the proceeds of which shall go to a charity of their choice.

Author’s take

Carmella is one of the most ruthless Superstars on the WWE roster today, and her teaming up with The New Day would be awesome, given how great the trio are in the ring.

Carmella with either one of The New Day—Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods or Big E—would most definitely make for a strong team in the Mixed Match Challenge.
