A Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame is regarded as one of the most prestigious honours an artist could earn over the course of his/her life.

The honour is bestowed upon professionals, mostly from the entertainment industry but also including a few notable persons from other spheres as well, for their invaluable contributions to the world of entertainment. The Walk Of Fame features brass and terrazzo stars engraved on the sidewalk along a specific section of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood, California.

WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson transitioned from the world of professional wrestling to Hollywood; breaking through with The Scorpion King in 2002. Rocky is now one of the highest-grossing stars in Hollywood.

The Rock received a Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame for his contributions in the entertainment business and appeared to be considerably enthusiastic all through the ceremony. Here’s a brief excerpt from his statements at the ceremony—

“I am so grateful. I wake up every day, and my heart is so full of gratitude for the position that I’m in, for the opportunities that I’m able to create.”
