WWE News: The Rock lavishes praise on cousin Nia Jax's fashion show appearance

Nia Jax and The Rock are cousins, and the "Wrecking Ball with a Million Dollar Smile" recently returned to her modelling roots and participated in a fashion show. The Rock was very proud of his cousin and praised her for her growth in and out of WWE.

Before becoming a WWE Superstar, Nia Jax was a plus size model. She's spoken about her career before WWE and how it was an empowering experience.

Jax is in a fatal four-way match for the Raw Women's title at No Mercy, but she found the time to walk the runway at the CURVYCon fashion show on Friday.

The heart of the matter

Nia's cousin The Rock sent out an uplifting social media message to Jax when he said, "proud of my cuz Lina's growth in and out of the WWE. An opportunity to help influence a generation."

Those words are encouraging and Jax's apparent inspiration to others was also a highlight worth noting.

Nia Jax first got her WWE tryout at The Rock's recommendation and it turned out to be a good decision for both Jax and WWE.

Nia Jax is one of the most dominating forces ever to step foot in the ring. Her brutal move set is coupled with the desire to prove herself. She might always be in the large shadow of her very famous cousin, but as time goes on, Jax is proving she deserves to be on top.

Jax is proud to be who she is. She's not like most; she's a big, beautiful, Samoan and there doesn't seem to be anything standing in her way at this point.
