What’s the story?
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently had an interaction with the Singh Brothers (Sunil and Samir) on Twitter and proceeded to praise the duo as well as current WWE Champion Jinder Mahal.
In case you didn’t know…
Since winning the WWE Championship at Backlash this past May, Jinder Mahal has enjoyed a lengthy title reign. Most of his wins have come due to interference from the Singh brothers, making sure the championship remains around the waist of the Maharaja.
Mahal’s championship reign has garnered opinions from all over the wrestling world, and while the Rock has been pretty far away from the world of professional wrestling, his praise for Mahal and the Singh brothers can be a big boost to their confidence.
The heart of the matter
This past Wednesday the Singh Brothers Twitter account sent out a playful tweet to the Rock stating that they were in the area and asking if he needed them on the movie set for some “Bollywood-style” action sequences. The Rock eventually responded back heaping praise on the brothers as well as Jinder Mahal.
The Singh brothers tweeted back with thanks for his love and support and declaring that they would be willing to take the Rock Bottom as long as they are paid in Rupees.
What’s Next?
Jinder Mahal will put his WWE Championship on the line at the Hell in a Cell Smackdown Network Special against Shinsuke Nakamura, likely within the Hell in a Cell structure, though that is still unconfirmed at this point. The Singh brothers will also likely play a part in the match, as they have in each of his past championship defences.

Jinder Mahal’s championship reign has been divisive among the WWE Universe, to say the least. However, it seems that most professional wrestlers and personalities behind the scenes have nothing but positive things to say about Mahal. They usually cite his work ethic, improvement, and love of the business as big reasons behind his new found success.
