What’s the story? In a promotional interview for his movie Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, The Rock shared an awesome story about himself and Hulk Hogan. The Rock narrated how he caught a bandana thrown by Hogan but had to return it, before eventually getting it back—This is an amazing story! When I interviewed @TheRock for JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, I brought him my original JUMANJI ticket from when I saw it in January of 1996.I asked Johnson if ever collected anything special as a kid and he told me this amazing @HulkHogan story. pic.twitter.com/o3sDERNfGn— Kevin McCarthy (@KevinMcCarthyTV) November 30, 2017Amazing vid below on two fronts. #1. My good bud Kev here brings me his ORIGINAL movie ticket stub from #JUMANJI. #2. Thank you to the “brother” @HulkHogan for being so cool to me when I was a 12yr old nerdy, awkward huge Hulkster fan backstage at Madison Square Garden. ?? https://t.co/xkQ4mDXfAu— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) November 30, 2017Apparently, Hogan got wind of the aforementioned narration, and chimed in with his two cents on the story—Yo @TheRock, if you need another head band this time you need to give me my rematch then see if you can take it brother!! Lol. Only love but I’m serious about the rematch brother HH https://t.co/IDpN7h6uIb— Hulk Hogan (@HulkHogan) December 1, 2017.@therock, was this the moment you caught @hulkhogan's headband? I was 12yrs old at Madison Square Garden. I went back to the locker room after the match to give it back to him. Two weeks later he gave me a brand new one. Crazy story. ???? https://t.co/0UX0I68Wm4— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) December 1, 2017In case you didn’t know…Hulk Hogan was professional wrestling’s biggest star back in the 1980s.Hogan often threw his bandanas into the crowd, getting the fans hyped up for his performance. The heart of the matterThe Rock’s Hulkster story dates back to 1984 when he caught a bandana thrown by Hogan into the crowd, as the former was seated ringside at Madison Square Garden. Rocky went backstage after the match and showed the bandana to his father Rocky Johnson, before meeting Hogan and thanking him for the memorabilia. However, Hogan had to take back the bandana as it was the only one he had left, but eventually made several copies of said bandana; signing one and returning it to The Rock. Rocky addressed the same and thanked Hogan for being so very nice to him when the former was just a 12-year-old kid.Furthermore, Hogan jested that if The Rock wants another bandana like that he’d have to give him a rematch of their Wrestlemania 18 bout which the Brahma Bull won. What’s next? The Rock is presently busy with his Hollywood obligations, whereas Hogan is up to something big but currently secretive in the world of professional wrestling.Author’s takeHulk Hogan is just a marvellous person, and this is merely another example of his greatness. On the other hand, The Rock’s gratitude and humility after all these years of success in both pro-wrestling and Hollywood never cease to amaze.
