What's the story?

The Greatest Royal Rumble just got a whole lot bigger! WWE just announced that The Undertaker will be part of the proceedings, facing Rusev in a Casket Match.

This will be The Undertaker's first wrestling appearance since WrestleMania 34 where he defeated John Cena. The proceedings will be telecast live from the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27 from 7.00 PM AST.

In case you didn't know...

The Greatest Royal Rumble is a pay-per-view that will feature some really star-studded matches including Brock Lesnar taking on Roman Reigns in a Universal Championship rematch and an unprecedented 50-man Royal Rumble match.

Seven titles will be on the line at this massive event. Another highly anticipated match will see The Usos taking on The Bludgeon Brothers for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

The heart of the matter

WWE's announcement focused upon the Undertaker's return and the nature of the match:

Following his triumphant return at WrestleMania, The Undertaker™ will take on Rusev™ in a Casket match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, which takes place at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27 at 7 PM AST. The object of a Casket match is for a WWE Superstar to trap their opponent inside the casket and close the lid.
The Greatest Royal Rumble will stream live on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view outside of the Middle East with regional broadcast information forthcoming.

This should be a match for the ages. The Undertaker's appearances are always special and this contest has just made the whole event a must-watch affair.

What's next?

We're counting down the days to the Greatest Royal Rumble. We're certain that the storylines on both RAW and SmackDown Live will build up the pay-per-view. The Saudi audience is in for a real treat.

Author's take

Man, I wish I was present on the ground. I will do the next best thing...catch all the action on the WWE Network.

Not everyone gets a chance to face The Undertaker so this should be a huge honour for Rusev!
