What's the story?

For those unaware, For The Love of Wrestling is just one of 14 conventions/events run by the UK events company, Monopoly Events, and on 15 November 2018, they made a historic guest announcement for the upcoming convention next April, The Undertaker.

In case you didn't know...

After running big events such as Comic Con in Scotland, Liverpool, Manchester, as well as science fiction and UFO conventions, Monopoly are now trying their luck in a wrestling convention set for April 28 and 29 in Liverpool next year, and while the UK is no stranger to having wrestling conventions in the past, this one looks to be the biggest and best yet!

The Undertaker is very rare at these kind of appearances. While he has made the odd one at a really big American convention such as the San Diego Comic Con (biggest con in the world), he generally usually just makes these appearances for WWE at exclusive events such as WrestleMania Axxess during the WrestleMania weekend, and at that, doesn't even do it every year.

The heart of the matter

After months of speculation, For The Love of Wrestling announced its headlining name for the convention. The con announced it would be none other than The Undertaker, making a very rare convention appearance.

The Undertaker is extremely rare for these kind of appearances, so this is quite an accolade for the previously not well heard of wrestling convention.

The Undertaker is only appearing at the event on the Sunday, and as of this writing, The Undertaker will only be doing a Q & A session as well as professional photo sessions, so autographs will not be available. Professional photos are priced at £150.

What's next?

For the Love of Wrestling takes place in Liverpool, England, on 28 and 29 April at the Exhibition Centre.

There is expected to be another 40 - 50 names announced for the con, joining The Undertaker and other guests, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Booker T, Lita, Ted DiBiasie Sr., Christian, the Honky Tonk Man, Kelly Kelly, Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake, the Brooklyn Brawler and the ever lovable Virgil.

The Undertaker will also be touring London, Glasgow, and Manchester for a Q & A tour with Inside The Ropes, just two days following the convention.
