Bobby "The Brain" Heenan passed away on September 17th, 2017. He was 72-year-old.

During his life, he garnered attention due to his outstanding personality and unique presentation. His addition to any commentary team was sure to add a shine only he could bring.

Bobby had been sick in the days before his death and his daughter stated it was sudden. He battled a jaw infection, broken hip, and throat cancer in his life. The latter would affect his iconic voice and he would never sound the same after then. But his one-of-a-kind personality remained just as brilliant.

His death saddened the world and there has been an outpouring due to his passing. Here are a few tributes on social media from the pro wrestling community who considered him a member of the family.

Bobby Heenan's death was felt by everyone in the entertainment business as his influence stretched well beyond just sports entertainment.

Comedian Tom Arnold had a very good tweet as he remembered Bobby Heenan as well as retweeting Daniel Bryan's condolences.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Bobby Heenan's family and friends during this time of loss. He influenced an entire generation of personalities in pro wrestling and though he was often imitated he was never matched in skill and wit.
