WWE News: Three huge title matches added to Clash Of Champions

This is going to be

This is going to be a great night

What's the story?

WWE is neverending and they're always planning for the next big event. It's one of those awesome things about never having an offseason. Clash Of Champions already had a big main event with AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship. But now WWE has added three more championship matches to Clash Of Champions and it's going to be a great card.

In case you didn't know...

Clash of Champions is a night where every championship title is going to be defended in a night covered in gold. Since it's just a SmackDown Live pay-per-view event, it will just feature the blue brand's titles on the line.

The heart of the matter

This concept for a pay-per-view might seem like a normal one because most pay-per-views feature every title on a brand being defended but since this event is just kind of a placeholder until the Royal Rumble we're willing to give it a pass on its normalcy.

But as of right now the current Clash Of Champions card does look pretty great:

AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship will give The Modern Day Maharaja a chance to gain his title back seemingly by himself since he just kicked the Singh Brothers to the curb.

Baron Corbin putting his United States title on the line against Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler in a match which could be a puzzler because Roode and Ziggler already had a feud. Corbin has been battling Sin Cara and Shinsuke Nakamura at live shows but they're going with a different pair of competitors for this one.

Natalya will get a chance to earn her SmackDown Women's Championship back once more from Charlotte Flair but knowing that the Riott Squad are around, who knows how that one will turn out?

The SmackDown Tag Team Championships are going to be defended in a great match with The Usos putting their titles on the line against New Day and Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable. They've been working at house shows together and have put on a great performance.

What's next?

WWE Night Of Champions happens on December 17th and you can catch all the action live on the WWE Network. There will be plenty of high octane moments and who knows if we'll see a title change or three.

Author's take

So far, Clash Of Champions is shaping up to be a pretty decent card. They're obviously building toward bigger events down the line, but it's good to see WWE is paying enough attention to SmackDown Live's December pay-per-view event to make it worth our while.
